There is nothing like riding around the like and seeing what we think are one of the Good Lord's most amazing and awesome creatures. I believe we actually seen a total of 18 this day . I took the pictures which is the most we have seen so far in one ride around the lake!!
American alligators reside nearly exclusively in the freshwater rivers, lakes, swamps, and marshes of the southeastern United States. Here in Columbus County almost everwere.

The American alligator is a rare success story of an endangered animal not only saved from extinction but now thriving. State and federal protections, habitat preservation efforts, and reduced demand for alligator products have improved the species' wild population to more than one million and growing today.

Below are Lake Waccamaw Natives.
