The State asked for a continuance We thank God that he did not kill any citizen. Our state's court chose to let him go FREE .They refused to punish Him. My opinion is that people that drive this drunk should never drive, and the court should have a mandate to hear each case no matter how many times the case was put off or who he is. A person convicted of DWI will also have his or her license suspended by NCDOT’s Division of Motor Vehicles for at least one year. Persons with a prior DWI conviction may be subject to punishment as a felon and their vehicle may be seized and sold. The full law Motorists with a blood alcohol concentration at or greater than 0.08 percent are charged with driving while impaired. Minimum punishment is a possible fine of up to $200 and a possible term of imprisonment ranging from 24 hours to 30 days. Maximum punishment is a possible fine of up to $4,000 and a possible term of imprisonment ranging from 30 days to two years. The full law
